When you do what you love for a living, it’s so important to do things that are not work-related, to do things purely for the sake of doing them and keeping your creative fire ablaze. For this reason, I am thankful to know Chloe from Crown of Eden, because she does this wonderful thing where she has an idea, then she organises all of the elements, and then she lets me turn up and make images with it all.
The conversation that went down for this shoot went something like this:
Chloe: “So I have this idea for another shoot if you’re keen to do it, it involves snakes.”
Me: “You had me at snakes, I’m in!”
Chloe: “But we’ll need to put the snakes on the models’ heads, like fully in and around their hair.”
Me: “This only gets better!”
Chloe: “I also want to use a child model, with a snake, on her head.”
Me: “Hahahaha, challenge accepted!”
Never work with kids or animals? Make the rules and break the rules, in fact, let’s break all of the rules all at once…
kids + snakes.
