How did you two first meet?
“It was a pyjama party! It was my dashing figure in that silk kimono that caught her eye.” – Owen
“I remember thinking how intelligent he sounded – “he’s too smart for me!” I thought.” – Cath
What are your secrets to a long lasting marriage?
“He is the person I like to be with the most. We like the same things, and what likes we don’t share we allow the other to enjoy without discrimination. We help each other.” – Cath
What do you love most about each other?
“I love him because he is a kind, loving, helpful, useful, funny, friendly, talented, hardworking, supportive, staunch, good man, and he loves me.” – Cath
“She’s my little chooky! She my girl!” – Owen
What has been your most valuable lesson learned from marriage?
“Ours is not a romantic relationship. You can’t hold your marriage up to someone else’s and compare the two. You have to be a team, but also be able to be separate people with interests outside of your relationship. And my most valuable lesson learned? Love each other.” – Cath
“Patience – I was never a very patient person, I’ve learned to be patient.” – Owen
