What can I say about Clint & Tanya’s day except that it was spectacular.
And not just because it was at one of the most grand and sprawling historical estates that Queensland has to offer, or because Tanya wore a Jack Sullivan first, or because we kicked off the day at sunrise with the most sensational boudoir shoot on an airstrip, or because their wedding cake was suspended mid-air and upside down, or because Clint flipped his BMX bike during the reception, or because they shared their first dance on the half-pipe that Clint proposed on while fireworks filled the expanse of sky behind them…
No, it was not spectacular because of all of these things; it was spectacular because of the love that was shared so strongly between Clint and Tanya and all of the friends and family in attendance. It was powerful, and beautiful, and overwhelming – it brought tears to my eyes, and there were tears all around me. Their story is incredible, almost unbelievable. Each and every person in attendance had so clearly played such an integral part in them being where they were at that very moment, living their fairytale, against all odds.
Yes, it was spectacular.
And I had the honour of capturing it all.
Oh my.
